Toggle the Bit in an 8-bit Register

Code

/* This code is to toogle kth bit
   submitted by Manish Gowda T
   accomplished by leftshift and XOR function*/

#include <stdio.h>
#include <stdint.h>

uint8_t toggle_bit(uint8_t reg, uint8_t pos) {
    uint8_t setter=(1<<pos);
    return reg^setter;
}

int main() {
    uint8_t reg, pos;
    scanf("%hhu %hhu", &reg, &pos);
    uint8_t result = toggle_bit(reg, pos);
    printf("%u", result);
    return 0;
}

Solving Approach

this is done by first left shifting the bit to the desired position
then we perform XOR to toggle the desired bit
