The sensor interface uses a voltage divider to scale down a sensor signal before feeding it to the ADC. If the divider resistors drift with temperature or have poor tolerance, the measured voltage will be inaccurate — leading to wrong sensor readings.
A MELF (Metal Electrode Leadless Face) resistor is a cylindrical SMD package known for better precision, lower noise, and more stable temperature performance compared to standard chip resistors. This makes it ideal for precision analog circuits.
Required: 10kΩ · ±0.5% · ≥0.25W · MELF · ±50ppm/°C · −55°C to +125°C · RoHS

Tip: On DigiKey, MELF packages may appear as MiniMELF (0204), MELF (0207), or MicroMELF (0102). Check which size fits your PCB footprint. If no size is specified, standard MELF (0207) is the most common.

| Tolerance | ±0.5% | Tight tolerance for accurate ADC readings. |
| Power Rating | ≥0.25W | Standard for signal-level circuits. |
| Package | MELF | Cylindrical SMD; superior stability and noise. |
| Temp Coefficient | ±50ppm/°C | Low drift keeps divider ratio stable. |
| Temp Range | −55°C to +125°C | Industrial operating range. |
| RoHS | Yes | Compliance required. |
The filtered list will show many matching parts. Before you pick one, check: Is it Active? Is stock available? Is the manufacturer reputable? Is a datasheet available?
