6. Motor Current Shunt Resistor Selection

Rohit is designing a 24V DC motor control board and wants to monitor motor current to detect overload conditions. 

The motor can draw up to 2A. 

He decides to use a 0.1Ω shunt resistor in the current path so the controller can sense current from the voltage drop across it.
