67. Triac Output Optocoupler for AC Load Control

Meera is designing a temperature control board to switch a 230VAC heater using a power triac.

The controller board runs on 5V and drives the triac through an optocoupler for safe isolation.

To reduce EMI during switching, she needs a triac output optocoupler with zero-crossing detection.

The input LED will be driven at around 5mA to 10mA, and she wants a 6-pin SMD package.

Help her select a suitable triac output optocoupler from DigiKey.

Make sure it has zero-crossing, enough isolation voltage for mains use, and works reliably in industrial temperatures.
